    :dry: It's worth it :yep: Hopefully it'll show you why Chrome should be your default browser anyway...

    It works reasonably well in FF if you have the right PC and connection.

    Just the motherboard, unless you've not got current hardware. But it'll be good if you're upgrading your machine in the future :yep:

    I've often wondered why there's not a better, quicker way of firing up a computer... and now there is :awesome:

    Asus have Express Gate which is like a quick boot function but it's a linux based OS.

    Express Gate is Linux based OS with limited functionality:

    web browser (Firefox based);
    some games (online, probably Flash based);
    image viewer;
    instant messaging (Pidgin);
    VOIP (Skype).

    I've heard something vague about that.
    However, I have never heard of bios taking 25-30 seconds. 10s absolute max from what I recall.
    Edit: actually no wait. There was a win95 computer we had that verified all the RAM before booting or something like that. That did take a while.

    Are you sure that Vista didn't do that? That would explain for all the sluggish, uprepared hardware... oh, wait a munute, I'm dreaming. :boring:

    The bios is independent of the OS? 'Vista' would have nothing to do with it. One should blame the motherboard manufacturer.
