    I didn't have one either.

All they need is your NHS number or whatever its official name is!

I just got my doctors practice to print off my number and sign and stamp it.

    This was sufficient.

Get in touch with your GP and they will give you a number to ring for your local NHS authority. Ring that number and they will send you a card. I didn't have one to start with and was required to present the actual card.

All it really is is a small piece of paper (smaller than A5) with your name, address, Doctor's name and NHS number. There's probably more on it but I can't remember nor can I be bothered to find mine :P

But yes, just go to your GP and ask for it, saying that the woman behind the desk gave me it on a piece of paper and sent off a form to get it updated because I had an older NHS number on my old NHS card.

Then there is nothing you can do right now, so stop worrying and do your test on Monday.
