    Yeah they have 9 places!

Sarco got in but he's taking a gap year and isn't going till 2005.

My letter hasn't arrived yet - I'm getting very worried!

My first interview was with Don Porcelli and Ros Rickaby from Hertford. My second was with a Worcester and Teddy Hall guy.

How did your letters' arrive - did you get a letter from Teddy Hall first?
I thought about applying to Teddy Hall but figured loads of people might automatically apply there - I think they had 18 for 9 places?

    How many applied to Worcester?

Very similar to Don Fraser - very chatty and nice. I think he's a 'fossil guy' we played the 'Trilobite Game' ! I think he was somebody Brasier (I really should look it up!)

    What are your A-level subjects?

Trilobite game - well a trilobite is a kind of Arthropod but basically it was a logic game - no geological knowledge required!

I'm post A-level so have got my 4As in Maths Physics, Geography and Geology - wish I had Chem tho! GCSEs were 7A*s and 3As. I'm currently on my gap year working for a cicil engineering company.

second was at dept at 5 on tuesday

interviews were ok, don fraser asked me chemistry physics and maths

don porcelli and mrs das asked me various silly things, like how wud u measure the weight of the atmosphere but i worked it out nonetheless

Ahh, both mine were 9.30 at the dept.

My interviews were math, physics and chem the trilobite game was really the only geological element to it (and it wasn't very important even then!)

So what will you use for your insurance?

If I don't get into Oxford I think I'll be going to Durham or perhaps Southampton (didn't apply to Bristol - don't really like the city!)

    Where are you from?

the students were right, the questions just threw me rather like:

if u were to put a fridge in a perfectly insulated room and opened the door what wud happen to the temp? it stays the same

    and onto the next question

    rather silly.
