Our prisons are becoming overcrowded, our streets are still wrought with rapists and paedophiles purely because our prison system is crooked to have a brief period of institutionalisation, usually followed by early release.

In particular with people who are arrested for the more "sexually based" crimes the punishment doesn't really fit the crime. Surely we should do more to these people then slap them on the "sex offenders" list leaving their job opportunities restricted but their sexual desires still high and "horny", also allowing these people to potentially raise and nurture children that have unfairly been brought into the world with the same psychosexual deformities.

If we were to castrate these recurring sexual criminals then perhaps those that dress like peacock-like harlots on the streets won't be persecuted as much purely because they were "asking for it" by some grimey genitalia with a defunct fetish; if we had this as deterrence then maybe they will stop and keep their dark habits within their homes where only their relatives have to deal with it.

I think chemical castration might be a more acceptable way forward than actual castration.

The problem is that some sexual offences are about power rather than the actual sex act, therefore they would just use another object to commit the crime.

The last time we introduced castration for sexual crimes [in this case the "crime" was homosexuality], one of the greatest ever British minds - Alan Turing - was chemically castrated and committed suicide at the age of just 41.

When will you vacuous eejits get it into your heads - corporal and capital punishment do not work.

In fairness, that was the the tenor of the vast majority of the responses to this thread.

Castration no, read about what conniving, resentful little ***** eunuchs used to be. Fingers, noses, ears though, they should be fair game.
