I'm currently studying Journalism and History at Queen Mary, UofL and I'm considering trying to transfer elsewhere next year. I am in my second year and I'm completely sick of doing Journalism. On top of that, I can't stand living at home anymore. It was fine last year when loads of my mates took a gap year, but now hardly anybody is around life kinda sucks. So I want to transfer somewhere and do straight history. I'd be willing to enter in the second year rather than the third as I know entering the third would be more difficult.

Problem is, despite somehow getting into QMUL, I did pretty shockingly in my A Levels, so I haven't got the required grades for some of the unis I'm looking at.

I got B-B-C, plus an E in AS ICT and an A in AS General Studies.

So what is the chance of me being able to get a transfer based on one or two university years experience and credits alone?

how'd you do in first year?

Ok your a level grades aren't great but I think universities would be more interested in your first year grades anyway.

I got a 2:1, so I got pretty much the average.
