I was just wondering seeing on average bout every other weekend i'd go out with some mates, have a bit of laugh & get baked.
Would this be damaging to my health in a major way at all? ...or even just psychologically come to that.

I haven't done many times before either

Depends how much you're smoking each time, but generally, although I don't recommend drug use, it's unlikely to do any significant damage. But what's the point? Is it really worth the risks?

No, it won't affect your health in a major way.

It might even affect you in a positive way, check this out: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0417193338.htm

It could be beneficial, if the OP had a lung tumor.

Probably not, unless your family has a history of mental illness. I think.

Depends what kind of self control you have and your state of mind; ever other weekend could easily turn in to every day. Also, if you're smoking joints with tobbacco in, you could end up getting addicted to nicotine. I smoked weed for years (quit now) and it didn't do me any favours really.

To everyone who is saying 'yes' - you do realise that cannabis is a much less harmful (short term and long term) 'drug' than alcohol or nicotine?

Or aspirin even. Or most pharmaceutical grade drugs you can get on prescription. Less addictive as well.

And to the OP - Enjoy getting baked! Don't listen to scare mongering. The evidence is out there.
