At the moment, I'm studying AS History under the Edexcel exam board.
We just finished a Unit on the Middle Eastern conflicts, such as the Arab-Israeli hostility, the rise of Islamism and the Iranian Revolt.

What I'd like to know is, where can I buy textbooks that cover these topics for AS as my teacher is only providing us with worksheets and extracts. He refuses to give us information on buying textbooks and stuff as he says "it will take us off focus of the main topic". But I'm really bad at history and I need that extra boost.

So does anyone have any book recommendations?

Any info will be much appreciated regarding this topic. Thanks!!

Plus there are PILES of Text books or modern world history. Just search it on Amazon. I do the Ib which for History covers from 1848 - 1990, and I own this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Internationa...5568316&sr=1-1

    Which is fantastic.

Plus, if you need notes on specific things, I may be able to help; just PM or quote.

What you want to do is get the list of recommended books for your Units
This will cover any ground you don't know - Access to History saves lives. when all else fails. This is AS level and it was released this year
