    1) Is Pyruvic Acid and Pyruvate the same thing...?
Because one book says , after glycolysis ; Pyruvate is produced, while the other book says its Pyruvic Acid.

2)Is Hexose Bisphosphate and Fructose Bisphosphate the same thing?
One book says during glycolysis 6C Hexose bisphosphate converts to 2 3C Triose phosphates...The other book says Fructose bisphosphate in the place of hexose bisphosphate...

    Enlighten me PPL :woo:

im thinking fructose bisphosphate and hexose bisphosphate are the same seeing as fructose is a hexose sugar. i think they say hexose in one book because there's like a tiny stage where it's glucose bisphosphate before/after fructose bisphosphate, i cant quite remember ... someone correct me if i'm wrong :]

The wikipedia article for pyruvate and pyruvic acid leads to the same page and its written like both of them are the same....
I thought this until when I learned anaerobic respiration. I learned that whats first produced is lactate...which later turns to lactic acid... (in anaerobic respiration)

This leads me to think that since lactate is not lactic acid , pyruvate is not pyrivic acid

Still not sure about both ><

Actually Pyruvate is the anion I think,

    So Pyruvic acid: CH3COCOOH

    Pyruvate: CH3COCOO-

I think pyruvate is the one that occurs in glycolysis because the hydrogen are lost to NAD
