Is it just me or is there something 'different' about having a friend online who you've never met before?

I quite like telling an unknown person about my life and all about me, flirting a little and talking until the early hours of the morning, even if they are on the other side of the world, it's what makes it all the more exciting. Does this make me sad? That I need someone to just be a companion and listen to what's going on in my life? Is it sad that I want someone online and not a real person to listen to me. I feel like my friends are a little too close to me and the situations I am in to be objective and not to judge, whereas others online won't be.

If anyone wants to be my friend, PM me
