A remarkable video shot from a street car going down Market Street- San Francisco in 1905. Makes me want to go back in time.

    You're both most welcome.

Isn't it fascinating to see what life was like back then? For instance, the police officer at the beginning and how smartly people dressed (with the top hats and all). It's a pity that only a few people continue to do so.

San Fran and one other place in the world has an uphill self-pulled street tram system.

    Guess where?

Wow, some serious bad driving and seemingly invincible pedestrians, it's as if they don't care they could get run over!

    Amazing video

No PS3, XBOX or Internet...so everybody is out and about on the street. So much seems to be going on. Seriously, its hard to believe its real. In some ways it looks fake.

One thing i noticed is that everybody heads in all directions. Cars crossing right in front of the tram and all over the place lol.

There's got to have been a lot of flattened people back them, some definitely have a death wish playing chicken with the trams and traffic.

Also odd to think that everyone on there is now dead along with the entire Earth's population that existed then.

I bet none of them would have thought that people a hundred years in the future would be watching them go about their regular business and probably will continue to do so for thousands of years to come. Their existence is captured forever just because they happened to be in the way of a recent invention.

You might be interested to see how San Francisco had developed 50 years later. Once again, this is truly amazing and you can pick out the contrast between the two videos. This one is even in colour!
