I don't know if anything like this has been posted before because I just joined...

Tomorrow I'm going to see Cobra Starship in Glasgow at the ABC and I just found out my friend can't make it.

I'm thinking of going it alone and hoping to bump into someone I know, but i've never been to the ABC before, so I just wanted people's opinions.
Do you think I would be safe enough? It's my main concern since i've never been to the ABC before, and i'm worried that something bad will happen.

I plan to go in after the doors are open to save me standing in the queue alone.

I've been to hundreds of gigs, at least half of them on my own.

You'll be fine. I don't get why you'd go in later to avoid standing in the queue alone, just talk to the people around you, have a few drinks, etc?

Seriously, contrary to what many will have you believe, most people are actually alrate.

You'll be fine, I personally haven't seen anyone get singled out for being alone at any of the gigs I've been too :P It's not as if people will know you're alone once you're in there, just casually nod at people to look like you're interacting

I go to loads of gigs by myself, especially at festivals when my mates wanna go to a different stage to me. My friends don't like a lot of the music I'm into, and to be honest if I'm at a gig, I'm up for some music not conversation so...I say go.

I'm going to see Imogen Heap on my own this week and i don't care. Its going to be an awesome gig and I never speak to my friends when bands are playing anyway.
