Aeronautical engineering sounds really cool. I hear you guys have loads of lessons, like 30 hours or something. Crazy.

    NEW PAGE!
I'm doing mechanical, and I have about 12 hours of lectures a week (this semester), but at least 1 lab session (sometimes 2), and one 3-hour group session.

Sometimes I wish I'd chosen aeronautical, because I do like flight and other things, but I like many other aspects of engineering too, so I need something broad. This is why I chose mechanical.

Yeah I think mechanical engineering has the most overlap with the other engineering degrees.

I used to want to build rockets/shuttles/spaceships when I was a kid...But the idea hasn't really taken flight

Flying, transforming robots though, would be :coma:. :dice:, even.

    Hover shoes = Main dream

(Even though one slip would result in the thrust making me fly around like mad, like a balloon when you let the air out....I can still dream )

I remember spending quite some time in Year 7 trying to design a jet-pack. But I couldn't find any jet engines that were the right size, and I didn't consider all the heat. :erm:

    :eek4: Amazing!

But that design is cumbersome and inelegant compared to mine. :pierre: I do see some similarities though.

    Goodnight!

Sucks not being on half term eh? :P: Lecture for what degree?
Not having a half term doesn't suck...
Something about the fact I had/have:
    4 weeks off at Christmas.
    3 weeks off at Easter.
15 weeks off for the summer.

Seems to make a single week of half term not matter! :p:
