    Its only M1 stuff; how do you calculate acceleration of a particle when friction is involved?

    If FD is the driving force and FR is friction then you do:
    FD-FR=ma
    then rearrange from there.

    If I finish my M1 exam early I'll draw one nect to the work 'Mechanics' on my exam paper.
