    Do you have any maths work for your degree? (I'm sure economics has a lot of maths involved) why not take the advantage and do some for that?

    I gave up after the xmas hols, as you can see. I got like 17 marks in my mock though

    Anyone know how to work out the range of which an expansion is valid?

    It's when |ax| < 1

    Where a is -1/3 (you take the 3 out) to put the stuff in the brackets in the form (1 + ax)n
