Hey, I started uni this year and i enjoy it, Ive made some new friends and i like my course. HOWEVER, before uni i split up with my boyfriend of 2 years, of whom i spent a lot of time with- he is now giving me abuse by the way. And now i just feel so lonely without a boyfriend, you see, i live in a flat full of foreign students where others dont talk, so i dont see my friends on as much of a regular basis then if i lived with them. So i find myself getting lonely a lot.

I was recently seeing a guy and this lonliness went away. However, I slept with him after only a week and then he told me he just wanst to be friends- i had already developed feelings for him and it really hurt.

How can I meet some new guys?

Why don't you try and make more, better/closer friends instead of trying to make a boyfriend?

unhelpful. Life is a bit of a ******* but there are really awesome highs that go with the really bad lows - maybe join one of the societies your uni has to offer and meet people that way? Also, you could talk to people here on TSR (as I see you have been) and see what they've done - personally, I didn't really get along with my first-year flatmates so put an ad up on the student association website saying I was looking for some people to share a flat with and have ended meeting a really awesome bunch of folks and generally having an awesome time...

I know it's a christian group but still, maybe listen to this a few times and try and pull some direction/meaning out of it for where you are at the moment. I know it's helped one of my friends who was on the verge of suicide and me even me at some points.

all I can really say it: 'stick with it and live your life as well as you can and seek help if it feels like "it's going down the swaney"...THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE, WHO IS WILLING TO HELP YOU.
