It's homework, no marks at all towards the A Level grade. The practical work itself does contribute towards the grade, but our teachers want us to write up the experiments to give us a more rounded understanding of the subject, and I think it seems to work tbh. You can sit there and tell me I'm asking too much help, that's fine, but seeing as thought the mechanisms we're talking about (involving acid anhydrides) are not in the specification (never been taught it), I think I'm coping pretty well.
