# Problem with Factorisation watch

Announcements
1. Ok, I have just started a section on solving Quadratic equations, It asks me to solve the following questions by the method of factorisation.

3x^2 + 8x = 0

AB= 24?

A+B= 0?

or is it A+b= 1? Or have I entirely missed the plot?
2. what the ******.

YOU HAVE A COMMON FACTOR OF X.
3. x = -8/3 or 0

3x^2 + 8x = 0
x(3x+8) = 0
x=0 or/and x = -8/3

5. so what are the possible values of x?
6. x=0, -3/8
7. Ah its clicked into place now, Really should of seen it lol.

8. to be honest you asked for it. a 8 year old could have factorised that. Unless you are 8, then I apologise.

I am self teaching A level Maths, I didn't understand the fundamentals of factorization at the time all I had factorized were equations in the form of ax + bx + c so this caught me off guard.

I have now finished studying C1/C2 so this post must be 2 months old?
