Not if that is what YOU want. A Level's are not for everyone. Focus on what you want, what you are good at and what the best path to your goals are for you.

If you are doing to take the easy way out of A Levels, then yes it is stupid. If you are doing it because you enjoy it or want a career in it, then no it is not stupid.

    Hey
Ive just started the BTEC course this year, and ill tell you something
There is only me and 3 other girls who have just left school.
Most of them either are like yourself, did a year of a levels and droped out, others did 2 years and failed. And we actually have 3 girls who are 20+

So dont think anyone will judge you, we certainly dont judge each other

No. If that's what you want to do, then do it.

Not if you want to work with children when you finish. I dont see there being an A-level in childcare.

    This exactly,
Only do it if it is something you actually want to do.
If you decide half way through you want to do something else (that requires a levels) then you're screwed and will have to do two extra years

Time for the the BTEC torch analogy.

Man walks into shop says he's going to the woods and therefore needs a torch. The shopkeeper explains there is a BTEC deal on at the moment 4 for the price of 1. Man gets to wood none of the torches work.
