What do you (girls) consider 'tall'? And what do you consider Short?

I've asked this before in a couple of threads but i've had no conclusive reply.

What do you (girls) consider 'tall'? And what do you consider Short?

Taller than me is tall... Shorter than me is short- are you talking about in general or like in a relationship (not that i care about height- but it may be a factor for some ppl).

id say 6ft plus is tall, but thats cos im 5'9 myself! the average height for uk males is 5'10, so im guessing under is short and over is tall?

Apparantly the optimum height difference between male and female in a relationship is 5", male being taller of course :smile:

I'm 5'9" and i doubt that i'll grow any taller, and i feel quite inadequate, when i'm walking around town :frown:

. And does a one inch differnce actually appear obvious? (seeing as the averae is 5'10")

Did it occur to you that you get no conclusive answer because there is none?

People are different, some think 6 feet is tall, to me that is medium and everyone bellow are short, those above are tall, care to guess my height? What you consider tall and not will depends on your own length and the length of the peopel you live with every day. If you want any objective answer you woudl have to say that everyone above the average is tall and everyoen bellow are short, but that woudl make virtually everyone either tall / short since it is fairly unlikely for anyone to be exactly average, just as it is unlikely for a human to have teh average number of legs ( it is less than 2 ).

I reckon that for men, 6' + is tall, and less than 5'9 is quite short.

For women, 5'8 plus is quite tall, and less than 5'4 is a little short.

Everything else is in the middle. Its all relative... I'm a 5'10 girl, so my tall is taller than the tall that other people consider... tall. ahem.

Look, it entirely depends on how tall you are. For someone whose whose 5"8 anyone under 5"7 gonna seem short and someone whose 5"11 is probably gonna seem tall. But for people, like me, who are 6"3 anyone 5"11 is gonna seem short.

I would go for the 5ft 8 muscled guy(not major muscly as that's not my taste).

I would prefer a combination though of 6ft 2inch and well built, that suits me!!! :p:

I think short is 5ft 8 and under and tall is 5ft 9 and over.

But, everyones tastes are different so what is short for one person may be tall to another!!! :smile:

The 5 ft 8 guy. I like taller guys, so he's already a lot taller than I am. 6 foot 2 is just a bit too tall for me to deal with...

Ahh fair enough to those comments but you can't deny that females prefer taller guys (and i'm not talking about relativity)--This is natural (Refer to most prominent papers on 'attraction') My question is--What height would you find attractive...In part thats been answered by dreamer 86.
