begging for a place at uni- does it work? watch

    ive been reading some posts recently and ive seen sum ppl have "begged" for places after finding out their results are lower than needed- i didnt kno u could do such an act :eek: i was wondering how often does it work? and does it not look like ur "2 DESPERATE" giving u a bad rep to other unis??

    If you miss the requirements of your offer then you're advised to call the admissions department and enquire as to whether or not they're still willing to accept you. They will only do this if other people have also missed their offer; if there are places on the course and, usually, where you've only narrowly missed the requirements. No amount of begging will get you into university though. Where this happens and the university does not have the capacity to accept you then you will be eligible for "clearing". You'll find more information about this on the UCAS website.
