My Physics teacher insists on teaching us physics we don't need to know, and i have absolutely no clue how to go about this. A drawing would really help here, crude i know.

Okay, what i was told was the find the relationship between the size of two gaps in a peice of metal designed to defract light and the angle they make a certain point.

However, i also remember something along the lines of one of the diffracted rays travelling further to the point than the other, not sure about this either.

    Any help physicists?
