Single flowers are almost always more romantic than a bouquet.
I'm not too keen on red flowers and not overly keen on roses, but I do like them. I prefer lisianthus, no thorns. My favourite flower changes depending on my mood, I like tulips, sweet peas, lisianthus and gerbras off the top of my hea.

    err...its so spiky and orange!
Haha, yes it is i suppose. But it's different, which is better in my books when it comes to V'day. I'm a fan of the shape; the colour - not so much. Why can't they come in anything other than orange... :p:

I'm making my boyfriend some peppermint creams and chocolate truffles as i have no monies. Plus that way i get to eat them too! :moon:

    Go for the favourite flower.

I'd love a big bunch of sunflowers

I prefer single. Or something not a rose. I would go for the person's favourite flower or colour/s.

Instead of either maybe buy a small rose bush that she can plant? That way it will last years and not days, just like your relationship : )

I think a single rose would be really cute. Or some Calla lillies. I like minimal but thoughtful.

I bought a bunch of roses a couple of years ago. I did it slightly differently, got her a rose for each month we had been together, florist didn't really understand my request. It was kinda cheesy, but thats what valentines is all about.

Last year I got a really beautiful single rose in its own little vase, delivered to my door in the morning. I definitely think something like that is nicer than a bouquet
