I played football this morning and after getting home and having a shower I noticed my vision was a bit blurred, as in I could only focus on one thing at a time. I literally couldn't keep the whole of the tv in focus and my peripheral vision was basically non-existant, it was rather scary. This subsided after about 20 minutes. What came next can only be described as the worst pain ever. 2 hours of terrible head pain all across the top of my head and penetrating my brain deeper than any headache ever, and at one point I even wished death upon myself, such was the incredible pain! I also felt a little sick and tried to throw up but couldn't.

Even now, hours after my head has stopped aching, it feels like my brain has been shot to pieces and I feel horrible. I've done a little googling and it seems in line with the symptoms of a a migraine. I was thinking about possibly going to the doctors/opticians, what do you guys think?

Yes, if in doubt then go to the doctor. Basic rule.
