Economics competitions?

I posted this thread in the Economics, Business and Management Social Science Academic Help forum. However after two days i've received no replies, so i thought i'd try here since more people might have entered/heard about them here, and this is kinda helpful for UCAS :smile:

Hi, i was just wondering where i could find any economics competitions (essay writing etc) that i could enter. I think they would look good on my UCAS and i also quite enjoy researching and formulating and planning essays.

Anyway fairly simple ones would be good since i'm only in AS year and i'm studying economics at the moment. The only one i've found so far is on tutor2u (doesn't start till the summer :rolleyes:
