1. hey I have been struggling with this for a few days now, and to be honest I am about to give up! its driving me crazy, any help would be most appreciated

I am working out breakeven points and optimal profit of a profit function.

Total revenue:
............300000
p = ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯*q
.......3/4
.....q + 15000
Total Cost:
p = q*2 + 5000
Profit Function:
...........300000
p = ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯*q - (q*2 + 5000)
.......3/4
.....q + 15000
Before I can move on to work out optimal profit etc I need to get this into quadratic form of some kind, and advice orsuggestions will be most appreciated

I suggest you use latex because it is difficult to see the details of your problem. http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/wiki/LaTex
