Why don't you pour some Sulphuric acid on.. That will mask the scarring from the stitches at least... *

*Don't honestly try that

My stiches are still visible only just, thats after 15 months. I still get tiny pains from them but they are nothing compared to whats like when they are new. Mine were in the groan so I couldn't walk for a week afterwards and it was a good month before I was walking normaly but with a bit of pain.

They will look bad now, but they will soon be unoticable. I found that being active and forcing myself to walk when I was in pain speeded up my recovery a lot but in some cases it will make it worse depending on what the operation was for I suppose.

Hopefully they will heal soon, you have to have half full attitude about it as well, my scar is annoying but thats ten times better than having to a sack bag(sp) which is what I would have needed if I didn't have the operation  So just try and look at it like that the operation I assume has increases your quality of live in some way.

They dont leave visible damage a long period after the stitches have been in then out again. Doesnt it depend on what your own skin is like? When i was 10 i chased my cat along our driveway, tripped over and smashed my head on a large stone by the garage, i had like 20 stitches and the scarring was all gone a good few months later.

Whereas my brother cut himself with a piece of glass on his leg, and his scar still remains even 3 yrea after it happened.

I had a laparoscopy.....and it's just a centimetre cut they make under your belly button - i looked at my mums for reassurance and it's just a tiny line that runs parallel to it.......but....they've actually cut into my belly button and i'm not bothered about the actual stitches leaving a scar, it's just they've deformed my belly button when they shouldnt have even been cutting into that. i know it will die down a bit, but it's still gonna leave me with this weird deformed belly button :frown: Think i'll give them a ring on Monday...
