# Geometric Sequences watch

1. Hi. I've been doing geometric sequences from my C2 book and finding them okay, however I'm completely stuck on what to do for the final 2 questions. If you can help, it will be hugely appreciated

1) I invest £A into a bank at 3.5% rate per year. How long until I double my money?

2) The fish in an area of the North Seavare reducing by 6% per year due to overfishing. How long before the fish stocks are halved?

2. (1) 1.035^n = 2
(2) 0.94^n = 0.5
3. (Original post by ian.slater)
(1) 1.035^n = 2
(2) 0.94^n = 0.5
Oh wow, so simple actually, thanks :-D +rep
