I was just stating that I can't stand generalisations like that, judge universities individually rather then by whole groups. I like it when people resort to patronising others over the internet, it's sad that so few people can handle an opinion or thought that is different to their own.(Original post by Quady)

From an RAE perspective Russell Group scores higher.
What evidence do you have that shows the 1994 Group is (on average) on par with the Russell Group?
Or don't you understand what an average is?

it mainly depends on what university you want to go to, how far is it from where you currently live, does the degree at that university have a good employability ratio and is the student life good, personally i would choose Leicester as it is an all round good university, student life is brilliant and not as far from where i live (Nottingham).
