I've been really, really good friends with a guy for five years now- right from Year 7. From the start, everyone's been saying 'oh,you guys should go out!'. We've always denied it. But now,I've started to like him.
He asked me to prom while I was falling asleep on his shoulder coming back from a concert, but I don't know if he did it just because his friends had been bugging him to, though he had said he wasn't planning on going.
So basically,we hang out all the time in school, talk on msn when we're not in the same place, and then go out with our friends (most of our friends are the same) at the weekend, but I really don't know what to do. If he feels we're just friends, I really can't lose him!

yeh i agree with: you could go to prom together and see how it pans out.. and maybe let him know you like him and see how he feels BUT make sure your ready to say it coz there maybe a slight chance that your friendship won't be fully the same afterwards

fyi, i told my best friend i faniced him 4 years ago - and we're still dating.

As other posters have said, go to prom with him and see how it goes from there
