I was talking about it with my housemate today as a joke. I want to die in an accident. What about you people?

In a massive explosion, or some form of big accident.

"Your dad died, how did he die??"

"Well, there were planes and lots of fire involved"

I don't particularly want to die... not yet anyway.

But I always think that I'll end up dying in a really ironic way. Like getting run over by an ambulance or something

    Why?

"It's only once you realise you're already dead you can get on with living".

Accepting the nature of life, in that it ends in death is a very nice feeling, oddly enough.

Some kind of movie death, like dying in the arms of a best mate/lover/whoever after being shot in the chest.

In the past, I always believed I'd die in a fire.
Now, being older and more practical, I expect most likely with a heart attack or, if I live to a decent age, cancer.

I'm pretty sure that I will slip into alcohol-related shock after drinking 10 bottles of wine on a Monday night when I'm about 40. And no one will notice I'm gone until the landlord gets annoyed that I haven't paid the rent. Owing to the conditions in my flat I will have become mummified in an entertaining and Buddhist monk-like way. :yep:

A huge shootout where I manage to get a fair number of them.
An honourary death where I save someone elses life and sacrifice my own.

Anything with loud apocolyptic music really!

Or just in my sleep. I'm not that bothered.

I'm young, I have yet to realise my own mortality.

Or as the saying goes, "I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my father, not shouting and screaming like his passengers"
