    So I just read this:

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/...versities-cuts

I'm sat there all complacent since I have secured conditionals from all my choices until I read this:

Teesside is my first choice. I fall into the bracket of "poor" person since my mums income is below £30k. This will mean, if correct, I will lose out on about 10k of none-repayable funding over the 3 years.

I believe student loans are only about 5k/year max which is going to leave me pretty damn short of paying my fees and surviving.

Should I be worrying about this or is it just over-blown media hype? Perhaps someone could explain how student loans work a little better too?

    Thankyou!
You have completely mis read the bursaries you'd be entitled to. The maximum earnings related bursary at Teeside is £750 a year. Others are based on getting over 400 points from 3 A levels at A2 in one sitting or if you are currently in care.
As for student loans in general I suggest a good read here

As above, what about your grant, loan etc? Maintenance loan =/= fees loan.
