Wtf do I do if my 'friends' have been smoking for a few months now and i'm now finding out about it? I know they aren't the perfect example of 'friends' but I want to help them? Their smoking and drinking doesn't affect me, but i want them to stop. Any ideas on how?

    Oh btw, we are 16.

You won't be able to, seriously.
I'm against smoking myself, but 99.9% of the time if you tell your friend/s to stop - they won't.
If it bothers you too much don't hang out with them, if it doesn't, then you just have to deal with it.

16? That's nothing, in my school where smoking in year 7. You can't beat them, you don't sound like you want to join them so all you can really do is live with it.

You can't stop them smoking. The people I used to be best friends with pretty much all smoke now. That's not why I'm not still best friends with them but I do really hate smoking.

The most you can do is tell them how you feel. Don't nag them though. Just make it known that you hate it because you care about them and ultimately it's just a slow and expensive suicide.

My best friend started smoking a couple of years ago and stopped in the summer when he saw how much it was upsetting me. He literally came up to me, told me he had stamped out his cigarette when he saw my face and he never did it again. I don't think it's common for people to do that though.

you could tell them how you feel bt in the end it is ultimately their decision. some of my frens smoke and they always ask if im ok with them smoking around me so maybe u could ask them nt to do it around u.

I think you're lucky with that one, and i'll tell them. Hopefully it'll open up their eyes. If not, i guess i can't do anything else.

If it doesn't affect you at all, why are you bothered?
