So after months of a being jobless, got a call back for a position and am now finally in work!
It's not the job that I wanted, but applied for it on a hoof, just to see if anything would happen. It was for a Telephone Sales Advisor at a spin off group of Norton Finance.
I got a letter through the post this morning saying I'd been rejected. Then later in the evening got a phone call, saying that they had made a mistake in the headcount and that they had more slots and that I'd been successful. Sounds weird to me but get feeling maybe people dropped out of the job or something....What surprised me the most was that I know I failed the Maths test they gave me although I know that I probably aced the spelling test and did very well IMO in the interview itself.
Its basically ringing people up who have enquired about a loan and getting them to get one from us basically. Have done sales work before, generating leads for an insurance company but this seems tough sales work. Any tips or advice?
