I am just looking for a few ideas how to apply to be a prefect with a good application. The questions are:
    Personal statement
-include why you want to be a prefect
    -strengths and qualities
-why you would be a good prefect?

In which ways have you contributed to school life at school?

If you were appointed would you consider applying for a senior post such as head boy.

Write about one experience which you have gained, either in school/outside school which helps prepare you for this role.

    Thanks for all replies

You don't need to bump after 23 minutes

When I did mine I found the most important thing was to sound enthusiastic and committed throughout it. As for your first three questions, only you know these things but make sure you are as positive as you can be, and don't be negative about yourself eg ''I am always on time'' rather than ''I am usually on time'' and just little things like that.

When talking about ways you have contributed to life at school, they don't have to big things, they can be little things, which show you to be a person the younger years should look up to.

We can't help you overly much though as we don't know the answers to your questions, only you will know those

Do not bother. Such a big mistake, becoming a prefect in my school.

Out of interest what does being a prefect entail in your school?

    It involves the following:
    registering late arrivals,
supervising the Canteen during break and lunch,
    helping during lunchtime in and around the school;
supporting staff at both parents and Open evenings.

I already do the last one so why not?
But the thing is i am new to my school so i haven't contributed much.

Ahh right, sounds more interesting and useful than what we do.

Literally all we do is once a week I have to stand around in the canteen and yell at yr 9s, 10s and 11s if they don't put their plastic in the recycling bin
We got blamed for a spate of theiveries as well the other day

Edit: Thanks for the pos rep, made me realise just how unhelpful I was though, sorry OP
