    Hi all,

I'm currently working in Dubai for the next 2-3 months and am using the small 'gym' within the compound. Unfortunately, though it has a few db's, it consists mainly of machines such as this crossover machine and this multi-gym

I was wondering if there was any way to either squat or deadlift with these? Though not ideal, I have managed to substitute other exercises with what i have available but, deadlift is something i enjoy, as well as it being a great exercise anyway, and it would be a shame not to use it.

    Any ideas?

    go find a proper gym

even if you do find a way to squat or deadlift on the crossover machine, it won't be anywhere near as effective

If you tried to dump the 'bar' on a cross-over machine, you'd probably lose a limb/foot.

Lol, I did try a few variations, and put the bar across both pulleys at the bottom setting...needless to say, it wasnt very effective. The 25,30 and 35kh dumbells also disappeared this morning, supposedly for maintenance and the next best thing is 8kg ones :eek3:
