Easily; I've never really seen it as an issue. If you're thinking about girls then if they won't go out with you because they think you're too short then clearly they aren't worth going out with anyway.

My dad's only 5'3 and he's fine :p:

He's a manager at a casino and doesn't take crap from anyone :cool:

It's kinda funny cause he's never had any abuse from drunk people for being short, it's always been cause he's English.

As for girls.. I have no idea about it apart from my mum obv. and she's short (5'2) as well.

But you shouldn't think of your height as an issue for anything, like you said it's only a bother for reaching high things :p:

Besides, short people are awesome :cool:

I can't believe how many guys here think they are 'short' at 5'9". When I saw 'short guys' I thought of my Dad's family, where all the men are around 5'5". That is short.

Not bothered. I'm only 5'3-5'4 and I dont see a reason to be bothered by it as most of my family are around my height.

So am I... people always ask If I am bothered by it, but I don't really care.

Really tall guys can actually be a bit annoying and awkward when you're my size. I'd rather the guy I was seeing was a bit shorter (he's 5'11) as I hate looking up and trying not to fall over when we kiss.

Well if anyones a midget around here then it's me, i'm only 4ft9 and 20 years old, so you most definitely wouldnt feel short standing next to me! I know sooooo many guys who are around your height, it seriously isn't anything to worry about, and don't take your friends comments seriously, you're a few inches above the average girls height so there are plenty of girls shorter than you who probably wouldnt care about your height at all. (and even some taller) Trust me, that isn't the reason your single. Oh and ive had growth hormone treatment. It won't make you any taller than you were predisposed to be, it just gets you to your final height faster. It costs alot of money, and the daily injections really aren't nice, although i dont know if they have a different way of going it these days..but yes, please dont let your height become an issue, your height is perfectly fine. Oh and as for the medic worry, you could say that about any profession. You probably think there's loads of tall medics because you're specifcally looking out for them and probably missing the shorter ones! Don't let your height hold you back in life, i did for a few years and it made my life a complete misery, please dont let the same happen to you! :smile:

5 6" is not that short and a lot of females like shorter men because it makes them feel in control.They like the idea that the woman is in charge of what's going on. It's all in your mind and if you just project a positive image and have positive thoughts you will just forget about your height and get on with having a good time or whatever.Or if you really care you can just look for a shorter female but I think it's really not that important unless you get something like a tall guy sitting in front of you blocking your view of something. :smile:

It's about perception, I'm between 5'8 and 5'9 and I have been called tall and short.

I am surprised at people saying being muscular makes you look taller, it's quite the opposite IMO, too much muscle will make you look short and stocky.
