Me and my boyfriend are going to the same university (we both like it, it's not just because we want to be together) Has anyone else done this? Just wondering how difficult it will be to balance social lives and whether it's caused anyone else problems?

well i haven't done it (sorry!) but i live with my boyfriend and met him whilst at uni so he was always there really so i would imagine it would be fun! depends on the kind of relationship i guess. Do you guys have a lot of mutual friends and go out with other people a lot? if so i'm sure you wont have any problems as you will probably just have a bigger group of friends given that there are two of you you wont be living together though im guessing so you will still have your independence.

We do have mutual friends but we mainly just go out as a twosome. We aren't planning to live together because of the added pressure. He loves clubbing and stuff and I don't so I think we will be leading quite different social lives.

Why do you wish you weren't going to the same university? Other than because it's not your first choice, i'm sorry you didn't get in.

me and my boyfriend both came to bristol university this year. we applied for seperate halls (which we both think was a good idea). we balance our time fine and have had no problem with seeing each and seeing friends. i go out with my flatmates/coursemates and so does he and we see each other afew times a week . im really glad we both came here (like you we both really loved bristol and so it was coincidence that we both fell in love with it).

I will be doing that this year...

I'm guessing I will be abandon for his friends a lot...

Most people, including my teacher believes that I'm going to that uni just because my bf is there...
    which is completely ******** tbh.

I decided I want to go there even before I knew he was going :rolleyes
