I thought you had to be at least 18 to go into higher education? Maybe it has changed :-/

I had just turned 18 in August, then term began that October. I was always one of the youngest.

I've put 18 because that's the age I'll be when term starts, but most likely my university will actually start after I turn 19...

I'll be 18 when I go. If I'd gone straight from school I would have been 17 until the end of first year, but I took a gap year so I wouldn't miss out on clubbing etc.

Nope, as far as I know the only restriction is in Medicine where you have to be at least 17 and six months. Most Scottish freshers are 17 when they start.

You can go at any age really, once you have the right entry requirements, qualifications and you're ready. I've even heard of some clever young kids going to uni early, for being exceptionally smart. Also, I think Scotland's school system is quite different in that people can easily go at 17.

    Hadn't long been 18 when I started.

I was annoyed that I graduated 2 days after turning 21. Would loved to have been able to say I had a degree before turning 21...oh well.

I went at 18 and dropped out. Went at 20 and dropped out. And I'll be going again at 21/22 (depends on start date of course) and hopefully won't drop out

I was 18 and two and a bit months. The novelty of being able to purchase alcohol hadn't worn off, and I had a messy freshers.
