Is occasionally using a sun bed more dangerous than say, living in Australia? watch

All this hype about sun beds ... is it that the particular kind of rays are especially carcogenic, or is it just that, as we all know, exposure to UV rays increases chance of melonoma?

I mean, take the generation above us, who didn't have the same attitude that we have today to sun cream ... if one of our parents, for example, had lived their whole life somewhere like Australia, surely they'd be more at risk than somebody living in the UK who used a sunbed once a month? Or not?

tbh uv rays from sun beds are a hell of alot closer than the sun. whilst the sun is more powerful you can cover up in australia
I reckon that sun beds are BADDDD news and it's just not worth the wrinkly skin in the future

Well you're closer to the rays in the sun bed. Whereas the sun is how far from the earth?

Ever heard of sun cream - people in Australia do use it, you know.

Yes, probably. On the upside, using a sun bed is safer than crossing the motorway blindfolded.

Yes, you would be more at risk maybe if you lived in OZ and never wore suncream...
people who have grown up there however may have skin that does not burn so easily to begin with.

Using sun beds is bad. Once in a while, up to you, still not great though.
