uni is so different to what i thought it would be watch

If you're not having fun then go out to things. Join a society and throw yourself into it, go to all the socials etc. If you find the right society you'll love it. I've found 2 groups that frankly get me through the week because yes, university work can be boring at times.

uni is like everything is life. it is what you make of it.

you have to grasp the opportunities. and believe me, uni has opportunities given to you on a plate.

but you still have to take them.
could I just ask you to embellish- I have the feeling this is the case, and that I might regret not taking advantage of the opportunities once I've graduated. what do you recommend I do? I don't do a that many societies because I enjoy myself when I can go out a lot- the only things I really do is go to my union talks, talks that interest me in general and take advantage of travel grants.

was there anything particular you had in mind?

I think its different for everyone, but I would agree with you. I thought uni was going to be the best time of my life, the time leading up to going I was so excited, getting everything prepared and imagining how my 'new life' would be. I'm now in my second semester of year one and to be honest, I've never been so unhappy.
