Determine the area of a flat surface in a rectangular coordinate system bounded by P1[1,0,0], p2[0,2,0], p3[1,0,3] and p4[0,2,3] directly and by integration.
When I solve this question directly I get the area = 6 but the answer in the book is 6.71. Also I need a hint as to how do I solve this by integration ?

It's not too difficult.
Note that, in the (x,y) plane we have the points (1,0) and (0,2), and both points in the... well, z place, are 3, so it's just like the two points in the (x,y) plane have been extended into lines of length 3 'into' the page.
You're asked for the area of the rectangle formed.
Can you see how to do it now?
