    Hei!

I have an unconditional offer from a British university to study a subject I love. Great! However, there are rumours that the government—regardless of which party wins the general election—intends to raise fees significantly. Figures as high as £7,000 have been circulated.

I'm Norwegian, and so what happens to the home fee doesn't affect me directly as a non-EU national. However, I guess that if they raise the home fee, they'll probably raise the overseas fee too, which is outrageous as it is (at least at my university). Have you any intelligence on the topic? What is likely to happen?

Overseas fees aren't subsidised by the UK taxpayer so I don't see why they would increase.

Oh, I'm sure some Tory/Labour adviser could think of a reason if she only gave it her best shot! But OK, that's comforting, thanks.
