One name folks, Neuer. I've pimped him in here before, but that's never stopped me......
He's a top-quality keeper that I've also mentioned before, but would surely be too expensive. I've also mentioned Ustari but people aren't so keen on him.

Of the names trumpeted this evening, in terms of price I'd say it goes Akinfeev>Lloris>Neuer. There wouldn't be much between the first two, but Lloris seems to get more plaudits than the others, also Lyon may be a selling club but their chairman knows what he's doing......

    I don't know much about Ustari. :o:

You'd have to be playing Watford to try and gain revenge on Eduardo's behalf.

Robbie, I never said there was nothing wrong with what happened.
I'm sorry if I got nutso... but it's just so wrong for me to come on here and hear all the views of 'Shawcross isn't a monster (TM)' in the media and on tv.... so any hint of sympathy for a man who managed to leave the field - albeit crying - on his own two feet.

I know he didn't mean it, and I know it will depress him... but he'll be playing in three weeks. Aaron won't kick a ball for three months at the very, very least.

It's just another tip of another iceberg that needs to be examined further and something done.

If no one will do anything, we need to start fighting back with more than our standard immensely skilfull football.

The only possible, slight good that could come of this is for referees to start booking the first nasty foul, and not letting players like Shawcross and Davies get away with 3 risky hacks before a card is shown.

In any case... we must win this league now, we've got the best chance. We have to do it for Aaron.

Quite. Negotiating with Lyon is what could be called in specialist terminology something of a *******.

Can't be much worse than Zenit, christ that was like pulling teeth waiting for that to finalise.

Oh wasn't it just. Almost Hitlerian tactics too - negotiate a price, price is bid, suddenly up the price, negotiations stall, continue ad infinitum until everyone is bored ********.

I saw very little in the newspapers to suggest that the league/refereeing collective needs to protect players more... why?

I hear nothing of proposals to ban Stoke's supporters who jeered and abused our player as he was taken away in an ambulance... anyone know why?

    I am sick of this.

I can't do it, Rich... I am too exhausted by all the **** in the world and how this game has failed... I am disgusted by it.

    ........
Fair enough, and I'd agree with most all of your post, tbh. Also, the media are ***** and as sad as it is to say this, it'll most likely take a similar challenge from a foreigner before any campaign for improved refereeing standards is initiated.

WRT the league, I think it'll be a very tight race. We may have a tougher run-in than ye, but we have Rooney. He is, imo, the most devastatingly effective player on the planet right now.

Get over yourself for ****'s sake. One player is unfortunate enough to have a freak accident and to break his leg and you're reaching for the razorblades.

I think it's a risky game for United... with Owen now a bit smashed, it's only Rooney and Berb as proper options.

Even if Rooney stays fit and can play every single game... I am not sure he will be enough to win you every game.

I genuinely cannot see past us as favourites now, regardless of a small gulf in points. There is also the certainty of United OR Chelsea dropping 2/3 points. Ideally, you guys will draw your game and Liverpool/Citeh/Spurs might get a result on one of ye too.

All we can do is get 30 points... and I'm confident we can do it if we show spirit like yesterday. It was absolutely unreal.

Are you unaware of players Diaby, Eduardo... the definition of accident?

Rooney is undoubtedly the form player in the PL, but Fabregas is certainly very hot on his heels. It's only Rooney's nationality that ensures media brown-nosing.

In simple terms the chances of an Arsenal player getting a broken leg three times in a row, and other teams not... by chance:

    1 in 8000.

    Good one.

Why? Because I simply don't follow you about, giving you positive rep and agree with everything you say, no matter how absurd it is.

It's quite incredible how delusional you are at times and how you are completely unable to ever see any fault in your own team and personnel.

What exactly do you want referees to do to help protect your precious faultless players? Invent "The Arsenal Law" where no-one is allowed to tackle a player playing for Arsenal Football Club?
