I'd love to write a blog right now but neither my brain nor my fingers seem to be working. I'm currently typing using the old fashioned point and poke method.

What about Sol doing a giant tree-trunk/logging tackle where he shatters Messi's bones?
Will the old man keep up? The zimmerframe will be in the way :awesome:

The bbc just really ****** me off. Stoke just got a man sent off against the spuds and whoever the person writing the text feed is went out of their way to say that the tackle was clumsy and not malicious. FFS.

Almunia, Eboue, Campbell, Vermaelen, Clichy, Song, Denilson, Fabregas, Nasri, Arshavin, Bendtner

Not surprised to see Eboue over Sagna but slightly with Denilson over Diaby. Another week, another must win, COME ON

Excited about today, and about Barca. The folks on guardian.com are predicting this lineup, with a Cesc-Nasri parnership in the centre and Walcott-Bendtner-Arshavin up top. Very, very attacking, and could be orgasmic if all goes well (could also be pretty catastrophic if all doesn't go well, but anyway...).

Some of the match-pointers on there are also mildly interesting, like the fact that on this day in 1967, we beat West Ham 6-1 at Highbury.

EDIT: Never mind the predictions, then. Eboue and Nasri to start.

Excellent. After last week's game, I have developed a strong dislike for Hull.

    Kanu as well :adore:

I really hope something good happens for Portsmouth. Avram Grant is good manager, but very underrated.

The WUM of mass destructions starts. I'd fancy putting some money on Cesc scoring a couple. Of course the B52 bomber as well!
