Pretty much what the title says....

I had an interview for job 1 and got the position...

without boring you with details and advantages/dis-advantages of job 1 and 2, I have accepted the offer of job 1...

job 2: I have an interview for friday but want to decline it. I'm 80% sure this is the right thing to do for various unimportant reasons...

I already have an email drafted and that, but was wondering if I should call as well or just an email or both or....??? Opinions much welcome....

    Call as well,

You never know when you might need another job and it will do know harm to keep the people from job #2 sweet...... just in case.

If you were offered the interview by email, email. If you were offered the interview by phone, phone.

I guess you did the right thing. You can also tell them that you're not yet available yet. If they call you use the phone, if email, send them via email what you like to tell them
