Hey so i'm going out with some friends tonight, well i'm meeting them there cause I am going to the football first. I'm gonna wear to the football what I'm wearing to go out to save time (won't go into it) and just wanna know if its ok to go in clubs with a jacket. Its just a black leather jacket. You know the ones from river island...

Why wouldn't they be? You just put it in the cloakroom.

real leather? If so it was probably pretty expensive so I wouldn't trust putting it in the cloakroom, you might lose your ticket or they might "lose" it.

...and if they do and you've still got your ticket you're well within your rights to make a hefty claim on their insurance and/or take them to court.

Given the amount of money most of these places are making they rarely quibble it unless you're asking for something completely outlandish.

You can either be 'that' guy who wears his jacket all night, looking like a total spanner,or do what everyone else does, and put in the cloakroom.

    Of course.
Just stay clear of straitjackets. It's awkward getting money out and dancing and stuff.

Yes put it in the cloakroom which might cost you a £1 or something but saves carrying it. Also dont then be a **** and end up getting thrown out otherwise theres a good chance you wont get your jacket back until the next day haha

they have signs do they not, saying they won't take responsibility for lost articles and they are left there at their owner's own risk.

Places with a dedicated cloakroom which charge you for the service rarely do.

They're charging your money to store/look after your goods - they have a duty of care. If you've still got your ticket then they've been negligent, from my experience in such an event the vast majority of places will compensate you.
