which site (if any) did you use to do this?
ive tried several sites and most of the time i get differen figures lol, some sites say just over 1600 so if i need to cut by 500 that means 1100 cals, that seems too low to me and i dont think i would be able to manage on cals that low

This. Remember your BMR is how many calories you would burn if you were to lie in bed all day and barely move. In the link I posted there's a link to the Harris Benedict Equation which you can use to estimate your daily calorie needs based on your activity level.
