I got a conditional offer for Biological Sciences at UCL
recently, i asked if could witch/be considered for Psychology actually.. they said sure - if they accept me to Psychology then they'll my retract my offer for Bio...but if i dont get into Psych i get to keep my offer for Bio

    anyway
it has been like a month since they said they'd forward my application to the Psych deparment.. i was wondering how long you'll think it'll take..they havent even asked me for an alternative PS

    thoughts?
    thanks

Well you have obviously proved to UCL that you are worthy of an offer to their University (congratulations) so I assume they are still considering offering you a Psych place in relation to other applicants, personal statement is irrelevant as you have essentially "got in." They are most probably considering you against everyone else who has applied for Psych and whether or not you are a more deserving candidate. Wait it out until the end of March when they will most probably make the decision due to your circumstances, although if you are particularly worried that they have forgotten about you then just give them a call

Why the choice to switch if I may ask?

Why the choice to switch if I may ask?
    thanks for all the info!
i basically chose to switch (or would like to..) because i do not want a job in science and really have very little interest in science tbh (now you may ask then why the heck did you apply for it? answer: stupid reason, my teacher convinced me and told me i was good at bio etc etc..focused all my courses in sciences..then finally realized it's not me)
i cant switch into law or anything ..so i chose psychology - its a good kinda open subject...i could become a psychologist, a better background degree than bio if i do decide to go into law...or things like social work, whatever whatever.. psychology can kinda of relate to lol

what are you stuyding (or planning to)?

Ahhh I see. Yeah teachers are often very keen to coerce you into their field aren't they lol. Psych does seem like a good move then, studying it at A level myself and find it very interesting, it will be especially beneficial if you wish to leave your options open as well as their are so many occupations that you can enter.

Going to study Philosophy in September, well that is the plan if everything works out with tests and stuff
