I'm starting to feel like I'm losing my mind. I keep thinking about my ex non stop. From the moment I wake up until the moment I go to sleep at night he's on my mind. He's now found a new girl and when I'm sleeping alone I just think about them two together in her bed and feel sad about the fact I'm on my own. I've tried finding other guys, I had a one night stand on Saturday night and am texting a few guys but they just don't seem to compare to my ex. Me and my ex are still sort of friends but I don't know if this is making easier or harder to get over him. And sometimes I feel silly for liking him so much because he's the type of guy that has about 5 girls on the go at once and I'm sure he's cheated on his new girlfriend already.
Anyone else ever felt like this about anyone before? And how did you get over it?

Just give it time and hopefully you'll meet someone else

Why did you split up? Think about that.

I was in exactly the same situation until I knew that he'd sleep with me again - I didn't but I knew I could have. I think it was just that silly thing "you want what you can't have"... for me anyway

This really sucks. I was like this with my ex; it consumed me. I got over it, to an extent, by getting with my new boyfriend (no suprises there) but even now, five and a half years later, and five years into my 'new' relationship, I still think about him, what might have been, and wish it hadn't ended. Hopefully you're not as ****** up as me and will be just fine in time!
Oh yeah and with another ex we still saw eachother afterwards, still flirtatious, ended up in bed, then nothing, made me feel so much worse: don't do it! Stay clear of him for a while.Last edited by never_ending; 11-02-2010 at 15:34.

It's harder to get over someone if you're in contact with them. Just cut off all contact with your ex, and see how that goes. Get out and do something to take your mind off things.
