Where do students tend to live in Aberdeen?

Is there an area of Aberdeen where lots of students tend to live, thinking mainly in terms of private accommodation? As in, in Glasgow it's the West End, in Edinburgh it's the Newington/Marchmont/Bruntsfield area, in Dundee it's the West End -- is there an equivalent area in Aberdeen?

I'm just wondering because I think I'd quite like to go to Aberdeen as a postgrad in a couple of years.

well i am lookin for 2nd year accommondation and i cant say there is a real area other than the whole area that surrounds the aberdeen university which is called old aberdeen, but as it can be expensive students can be anywhere really.

^^ pretty much sums it up, lot of people live in and on the side streets of King Street.

I want one overlooking pittodrie for a freebie at the football :moon:
Aberdeen's not very big so you can live anywhere really and get a bus to uni!

Westhill? Northfield? Sorry to be pedantic :p: But yeah from almost everywhere you get a bus to King Street, and certainly nowhere is more than 2 bus journeys away.

To be equally pedantic, Westhill isn't in Aberdeen.
